The 2005 UAW GM Quality 500 was a NASCAR Cup Series race held on October 15, 2005, at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina. The race was sponsored by the United Auto Workers (UAW) and General Motors (GM) and was the thirty-first race of the 2005 NASCAR Cup Series season.
The race was won by Jimmie Johnson, who led 107 of the 334 laps and crossed the finish line 0.902 seconds ahead of second-place finisher Ryan Newman. This was Johnson's fifth win of the 2005 season and the 16th win of his career.
The race was also notable for a couple of crashes, including one involving Jeff Gordon, who was caught up in a multi-car wreck on lap 121 and finished 34th. The other significant crash involved Dale Earnhardt Jr., who hit the wall and finished 24th.
